CROCOITE

Crocoite is a brilliantly red-colored & brilliantly lustered lead chromate mineral (PbCrO4).  The lead content makes it noticeably heavy for its size.  Crocoite crystals are often quite elongated with striations running parallel to the long axis of the crystal.
